The Minnesota Chorale and the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra join forces with the Minneapolis Youth Chorus to present Carl Orff's monumental Carmina Burana on this special program in Hopkins.
MSO Music Director William Schrickel leads the choruses, orchestra and vocal soloists in Orff's colorful score, and also continues the MSO's salute to Samuel Barber's centenary.
Chorale Artistic Director Kathy Saltzman Romey conducts soloists, chorus and orchestra in Ralph Vaughan Williams's breathtaking Serenade to Music, a setting of text from Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice.
